Murray River Run - Murray Bridge 2 Khancoban

Following the path of the Murray River, take in the abundant wildlife and stunning natural surrounds.  This safari gives you the opportunity to take a relaxing ride on a paddle steamer, watch a fabulous laser show on right on the Murray River itself.

Itinerary

1 November    Meet up at Murray Bridge where we will stay at Caravan Park (TBC) (power).  We will have our meet and greet happy hour then enjoy a night cruise and dinner on the Murray as we get to know each other

2 November    We leave Murray Bridge for our first day on the road and head to Walkerie where we will stay at a free camp on the river and enjoy happy hour together and a camp fire (if permitted) (no power)

3 November   Today we travel to Chowilla Station, one of Australia’s oldest and historic sheep stations.  We  will travel 33 km on dirt road to get to this station.  Explore the station, relax by the side of the river, enjoy happy hour (no power)

4 November    We travel to Wentworth, the place where the Murray meets the Darling, and stay at a caravan park (TBC) (power)

5 November    We travel to Euston and stay at CMCA RV Park Euston. This night we will enjoy a 2-course dinner at the club together and sit around the camp fire at night (if permitted) (no power, dinner included)

6 November    Today we travel to Swan Hill and stay at Pental Island Caravan Park for 2 nights, which is a working cattle station on the Murray.  See the old shearing sheds and enjoy a walk along the Murray (power)

7 November     We will get picked up by coach and enjoy a walk around Pioneer Village We then head back to our vehicles for a rest and get collected by coach again at dinner time where we will enjoy a dinner together and the spectacular laser night show (dinner and show included)

8 November      We travel to Echuca and stay at the Coco Bend Caravan Park on the Murray for 2 nights where we will enjoy happy hour and a camp fire right next to the river (if permitted) (power)

9 November     We will be collected by a coach and enjoy some time at the historic Echuca Port before hopping on a paddle steamer and heading down the Murray to a winery for a 2-course lunch (lunch and cruise included)

10 November      Today we head off again towards Rutherglen and stay at a caravan park (TBC) for 2 nights on  the Murray. We will enjoy happy hour around the fire (if permitted) and a dinner together (dinner included, power)

11 November       Rest, relax and restock, happy hour together at night

12 November       We travel to Towong and stay at The Resting Place Poets Paradise enjoying a camp fire together    (if permitted) and happy hour. Why not cook a meal in the camp oven together around the fire (limited power)

13 November        Today we travel to our final destination of Khancoban, stopping at Corryong on the way, the place where the legendary Man from Snowy River was born, where we have a look at the Man from Snowy River Museum (fees included).  Tonight, we stay in a caravan park (TBC) and enjoy our final farewell dinner together (dinner included, power)  

14 November        Today we farewell our new-found friends and continue our travels independently.
