Quick Tips For Using GeoWiki (CMCA Connect app)

To search for a specific place (e.g. a caravan park)

• Tap on the magnifying glass in the top right-hand corner  

• Select Places then start typing the name of the place of interest

• Select the place of interest from the list that will appear below

To search for a specific town

•Tap the magnifying glass in the top right-hand corner  

•Select Towns then start typing the town name

•Select the town from the list that will appear below

To filter

•Tap the funnel (filter) icon in the top right-hand corner  

•Tap the tent icon  

•Turn off the switches next to locations you don’t wish to come up in your searches

•Once you have selected what you would like to see, tap Apply Now

To download offline maps

•Tap the 3 bars in the left-hand corner

•Scroll down and select Map Downloads

•You will then need to download the maps state by state

To turn on offline maps

•Tap the settings icon in the top right-hand corner  

•Turn the switch on next to Use Offline Maps

To find favourites list

•Tap on the 3 bars in the left-hand corner

•Scroll down and select My Favourites

•A list of all places you have added to your favourites will be listed

Submitting a review to a POI on the app

To add a review to a POI

•Open the information section for the desired location

•Select the second heading along the top Reviews

•Select Write New Review

•From there enter your review and tap submit review

•You will then need to complete a Cloud Data Sync to send the review in for approval (you will

be required to have internet connection) to do this

•Tap the 3 bars in the left-hand corner

•Scroll down and select Cloud Data Sync

•Select Start next to Full Cloud Synchronisation

•Your review will then be submitted to us for approval.

Turning on location services (Android)

Allow location services 

•Open settings on the device  

•Select Connections

•Ensure the switch is turned on next to Location

•Once you have turned location on in settings, you will now need to ensure location is turned on.

•Pull down the top of your screen

•Some icons will appear, ensure the location symbol is illuminated

•Select Privacy

•Select Location Services –ensure the switch is turned on next to Location Services

•Scroll through the list of your apps and ensure location is allowed for the CMCA Connect app (either always allow or while using app)
