Summary
Come along and enjoy the spectacular sights of Outback Queensland. Starting with an amazing star gazing experience and dinner in the heart of Queensland and finishing at outback Pinnarendi Station with their famous woodfired pizza dinner, this will be a trip to remember. This safari will take you through the most beautiful outback scenery, following the sculpture trail at Aramac, enjoying a sunset tour at Winton, and finding the Min Min lights at Boulia. We will also see the incredible Lawn Hill Gorge, spot a crocodile on a sunset cruise at Karumba, enjoy a cruise up the magical Cobbold Gorge and so much more.

Itinerary
Day 1 | We start the safari at Evening Star Caravan Park Charleville with a meet and greet happy hour and dinner together (dinner provided), followed by an amazing star gazing experience |
Day 2 | We start our travels and head to Blackall where we will stay at the free camp for one night. Happy hour in the afternoon. |
Day 3 | We leave Blackall and stop at the Woolscour for a guided tour (tbc). and then on to Aramac and follow the sculpture trail staying at Lake Dunn for the night, (unpowered). We will have a fundraising BBQ raising funds for RFDS |
Day 4 | Travel to Muttaburra where we will stay for one night in the Freedom Camp (water available, no facilities). Have a look at the old hospital while you are there, beautifully kept and well worth the visit. Dinner at the local pub together (dinner included) |
Day 5 | Travel to Longreach for two nights where we will be collected by coach for Smithy’s Outback experience with a cruise on the Thomson River and dinner and show. (all included) |
Day 6 | Free day in Longreach to explore or relax |
Day 7 | Today we travel to Winton where we stay at the Matilda Caravan Park, power and water available. |
Day 8 | Today we are collected by coach for a morning tour of Bladensburg National Park, see the old shearing shed and homestead, have morning tea at the Billabong and dare to look down the depths of Scrammy Gorge. Free time in the afternoon before we go out again for a Rangelands Rift sunset tour including nibbles (byo drinks) |
Day 9 | Today we travel to Boulia experiencing the magical colours of the outback on this drive staying for 2 nights in Boulia. |
Day 10 | Enjoy a guided tour at the information centre and learn about the Min Min lights (included) |
Day 11 | Today we travel to Mount Isa where we will stay 1 night, time to re-stock. |
Day 12 | We travel to Burke & Wills Roadhouse, staying one night. |
Day 13 | Travel to Gregory Downs staying at the caravan park for 1 night before we tackle the road into Adels Grove together. Why not have dinner at the pub tonight. |
Day 14 | Travel the 75 km into Adels Grove where we will stay 2 nights |
Day 15 | Enjoy a guided tour of Lawn Hill Gorge (if tours available -details to be confirmed) |
Day 16 | We travel back to Burke & Wills Roadhouse for one night before we start our trek north. |
Day 17 | Today we travel to Karumba in the Gulf where we will stay for 2 nights. |
Day 18 | Today is a free day to explore the local area, late in the afternoon we will go on a sunset cruise spotting crocodiles and birdlife, enjoy happy hour on the boat (all included). |
Day 19 | We leave Karumba and travel to Croydon where we will stay one night in the Freedom Camp. |
Day 20 | Today we travel to Forsayth where we will stay 2 nights. Why not enjoy a dinner at the pub (good meals!). |
Day 21 | Be collected by a coach to go into Cobbold Gorge. Enjoy a cruise up the gorge and a walk on the glass bottom bridge, bring your swimmers for a swim in the infinity pool (full details of tour tba) |
Day 22 | For our final night we travel to Pinnarendi Farm Stay for our final night together and enjoy a woodfired pizza dinner (included). |
Day 23 | We depart on our independent travels. |
