Come along and travel the west coast of Australia, visiting some of the state’s most popular sites. Adventure across the top of Australia and down the coast, exploring the Kimberley region, the Bungle Bungles, and the spectacular coastline, including Dirk Hartog Island.

Travelling solo can sometimes be a little daunting, especially when covering a lot of ground over an extended period. If this sounds like you, joining us on this safari is a great opportunity to explore the west coast in the comfort of your own vehicle, alongside a friendly group of like-minded travellers.

Itinerary

Day 1 Meet and greet at BIG4 Katherine Breeze. Enjoy a welcome dinner together on our first night (included).

Day 2 Travel to Victoria River Roadhouse.

Day 3 Cross into Western Australia and travel to Lake Argyle, where you will stay for two nights.

Day 4 Free time in the morning. In the afternoon, enjoy a sunset cruise.

Day 5 Travel to Kununurra and stay at Kimberleyland Waterfront Caravan Park (powered site) for three nights.

Day 6 Enjoy a river cruise on the Ord River.

Day 7 Free day to explore.

Day 8 Travel to Bungle Bungle Caravan Park on Mabel Downs.

Day 9 Bus tour into the Bungle Bungles, including a light lunch and short guided walks.

Day 10 Travel to Fitzroy Crossing and stay at Fitzroy River Lodge Campground for two nights (powered site).

Day 11 Free day to relax, catch up on washing, or explore Geikie Gorge.

Day 12 Travel to Derby and stay at Kimberley Entrance Caravan Park for one night (powered site).

Day 13 Travel to Broome. Accommodation TBA. Stay for four nights (powered site).

Days 14–16 Free days to explore Broome.

Day 17 Travel to picturesque Eighty Mile Beach and stay for two nights (unpowered site).

Day 18 Free day at Eighty Mile Beach (approximately 10 km of unsealed road).

Day 19 Travel to Port Hedland for one night (free camp).

Day 20 Travel to Karratha and stay at Discovery Parks for two nights.

Day 21 Free day to relax or explore.

Day 22 Travel to Exmouth and stay for three nights at RAC Exmouth Holiday Park.

Day 23 Enjoy a glass-bottom boat tour over the spectacular reefs, with optional snorkelling.

Day 24 Free day to relax or explore Ningaloo.

Day 25 Travel to Carnarvon and stay for two nights at Wintersun Caravan Park (powered site).

Day 26 Free day.

Day 27 Travel to Denham and stay at Denham Seaside Caravan Park for three nights.

Day 28 Enjoy a ¾-day tour of Dirk Hartog Island and its spectacular coastline (morning tea and boat transfers included).

Day 29 Free day to relax or explore.

Day 30 Travel to Kalbarri and stay at Murchison House Station (unpowered site).

Day 31 Free day to explore Kalbarri National Park.

Day 32 Short drive to Geraldton. Stay at Sunset Beach Holiday Park with time to explore the area.

Day 33 Free time in Geraldton to shop and explore.

Day 34 Travel to Cervantes and stay at Cervantes Holiday Park for two nights (powered site).

Day 35 Morning free to explore. In the afternoon, join a 4WD bus tour through the Pinnacles and enjoy sunset nibbles.

Day 36 Final day of travel together. Head to Seabird Tavern Caravan Park for your last night. Farewell dinner at the pub (included; drinks not included).
