CMCA Traveller App Version

Do you need assistance with CMCA Traveller app version? Find the answers to your questions below.

When on the map page, tap on any icon to view the point of interest (POI). If the icon is orange with a number, this is a cluster and it means you need to zoom in to see the multiple POIs in that area.
To close a POI, tap the down pointing arrow in the top right corner of the POI details page.

You can search for places via the map or by using the ‘explore’ tab and search function. To search using the map, just use two fingers to pinch and zoom, or one finger to drag the map to find the location you are looking for. To search using ‘explore’, tap the first icon on the bottom of the screen. It will automatically show you points of interest near your current location. If you would like to search a specific place, type the place in the search field at the top of the screen and then view results.

You can use filters to customise what points of interest you can see on the map. To access filters go to the hamburger menu on the map (three lines in the top corner) and then select "POI Filters". From this page you can toggle categories such as "Places to stay", or you can select more specific groups to filter"

You can select different map types from the map home screen. Select the stacked icon XXX. You can choose between explore, satellite, road network and topographic.

Under the ‘Account’ menu, the last icon on the bottom of the screen, there is a menu item called ‘Settings’. Under the map section you can choose to turn on or off multiple map options. (Note: Orange is on, Navy is off).

You will need to download offline maps first. To do this, select “Library” from the bottom menu (second icon from left). At the top of the ‘Library’ page there is a tab called ‘maps’. If you have not accessed this page before, it will prompt you to complete an update to access the latest offline maps. After completing the update you can then download offline maps by each state.
Offline maps will automatically become active when you do not have access to internet.

A data sync updates your device with the latest point of interest (POI) information. It also will upload any reviews, photos, costs or reports submitted on existing POI’s to admin for review.
Under the ‘account’ option on the menu at the bottom right, you can then select ‘data sync’ and ‘start sync’. This should not take very long to update (depending on you internet connection).

To add a POI as a favourite, select the POI. When the details screen is showing, there is a ‘Save’ button in the centre. Tap this and you can select what list you would like to add this to. Favourites is a preset list.

There are two ways to create lists.
You can select the “Library” option from the bottom menu. From this you can select “+ Add New” and create a new list.
Alternatively, you can access the lists page when you are on the POI details screen and tap on “Save”. This will then allow you to create a new list instead of just adding to an existing list.

Select “Trips” from the bottom menu (fourth icon from left). Select “+ Add new”.
You will be prompted to first name you trip, then tap next. Then choose a start date. You can then choose to select and end date or just leave it blank if you do not have a decided date yet.
You can then select any POI and on the detail screen choose ‘Add to trip’. It will then prompt you to pick what day/s you want to visit this POI.

Tap on “Trips” followed by the trip name. Beside each destination, there will be two lines like an equal’s sign. Hold and drag the destination in the order on the equal’s sign.

Please note, destinations can be added to a trip at any stage simply by clicking on a POI and tapping Add to trip.

When viewing the trip, select the vertical three dot menu beside the destination listing, then select “delete”.

In the top left of the trip planning display box, tap on the left pointing arrow beside the trip name to close the trip planning window. Alternatively, you can minimise the trip planning window by tapping o the downwards facing arrow in the top right of the trip planning display box.

To add a new cost to a POI, open the POI details screen then select the costs tab. There is then a button to ‘add cost details’.

To add a new photo to a POI, open the POI details screen. Scroll to the bottom of the Overview page and there will be an “Add Photo” button. You can choose to either take the photo now or attach an existing photo from your photo library.

To add a new review to a POI, open the POI details screen then select the review tab. There is then a button to ‘Rate and review’. You will be asked to give a rating out of 5 stars, and then add a comment about the location and submit.
Please do not forget that you will need to do a data sync for the information to be sent to head office for approval and a data sync will also need to be performed for that approved review to show on the POI.
