CMCA Traveller App Version

Do you need assistance with CMCA Traveller app version? Find the answers to your questions below.

On the Map page, tap any icon to view the Point of Interest (POI). If an icon is orange and displays a number, it represents a cluster, with the number indicating how many POIs are grouped in that area. Zoom in to view the individual POIs. To close a POI, tap the downward-pointing arrow in the top-right corner of the POI details screen.
To turn clustering on or off, select Account, then choose Clustering under Map, and use the toggle on the right-hand side of the screen. A grey toggle indicates clustering is off, and an orange toggle indicates clustering is on.

You can search for places either on the Map or by using the Explore tab. To search on the Map, use two fingers to pinch and zoom, or drag the map with one finger to move to your desired location. If you would like to find the address of a location that is not a POI, press and hold your finger on the map at that point and the address will display.
To search using Explore, tap the Explore icon located at the bottom left of the screen. This will display points of interest near your current location. You can filter the POIs shown by tapping the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of the screen (see “How to Use Filters” for more information).
To search for a specific point of interest or town, type the name into the search field at the top of the screen and view the results. The search results will display Points of Interest, which provides a list of matching POIs, and Places, which lists towns or locations with that name. Selecting a place will display it on the map.
To return to your current location at any time, tap the Compass icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

You can use filters to customise which Points of Interest (POIs) appear on the map. To access filters, tap the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top corner of the map and select POI Filters. From there, you can toggle broad categories, such as Places to Stay, or choose more specific groups to refine your results.
You may select either all POIs within a category or individual subcategories. To select all POIs within a category, slide the toggle on the left. A grey toggle indicates no categories are active, while an orange toggle shows the number of active subcategories. Individual subcategories can also be toggled on or off on the right-hand side. When a category or subcategory is toggled to orange, those POIs will display on the map.
To display individual POIs only, first tap the funnel icon with the diagonal slash, then select the arrow to the right of the main category you wish to refine. From there, toggle the relevant subcategory to orange and those POIs will appear on the map.
To clear all filters, tap the funnel icon with the diagonal slash again.

Hold Long press your finger on the map where the POI is located and tap Add POI. Next, choose a category for your POI, for example, Place to Stay - and tap Next. Complete the subcategory field and tap Next again. Use the map to pinpoint the exact location of the POI and tap Next. Enter the name of the POI along with its address and contact details, then tap Next. Add a description of the site, making sure to include useful information such as opening hours or access details, and tap Next. Select the available facilities and tap Next. Add any photos you may have and tap Next. Finally, review all the details, make any edits if needed, and tap Submit. Your POI will then be sent to NHQ for approval.

Tap the hamburger icon in the top-right corner of the map, then select Map Styles. Choose your preferred map type - Explore, Satellite, Road Network, or Topographic. Once you tap a style, it will be applied automatically.

Under the ‘Account’ menu, the last icon on the bottom of the screen, there is a menu item called ‘Settings’. Under the map section you can choose to turn on or off multiple map options. (Note: Orange is on, Gray is off).

To use offline maps, you’ll need to download them first. Open the app and select Library from the bottom menu (second icon from the left), then tap the Maps tab at the top of the page. On first access — and periodically after that — you’ll be prompted to update to access the latest offline maps. We recommend checking for updates every two weeks to ensure you have the most current information. Once updated, you can download maps individually by state or territory by tapping the download arrow. When the download is complete, the state or territory will show as installed.
Offline maps will automatically activate whenever you don’t have internet access.

A data sync updates your device with the latest points of interest (POI) information. It also uploads any reviews, photos, costs, or reports you’ve submitted for existing POIs to admin for review.
To perform a data sync, go to the Account menu (bottom-right), select Data Sync, and then tap Start Sync. The update should complete quickly, depending on your internet connection.
It is a good idea to Data Sync once a week.

To add a POI as a favourite, select the POI to open its details screen. Tap the Save button in the centre, then choose the list you want to add it to. Favourites is available as a preset list.

There are two ways to create lists.
You can select Library from the bottom menu and then tap + Add New to create a new list.
Alternatively, while viewing a POI’s details, you can tap Save, which allows you to create a new list instead of just adding the POI to an existing list.

Select Trips from the bottom menu (the fourth icon from the left), then tap + Add New. You will first be prompted to name your trip, then tap Next. Choose a start date and optionally select an end date (you can leave it blank if you haven’t decided yet).
To add POIs to your trip, select a POI and open its details screen, then tap Add to Trip. You will be prompted to choose which day(s) you plan to visit that POI.

Tap Trips, then select the name of your trip. Next to each destination, you’ll see two horizontal lines (similar to an equals sign). Press and hold these lines to drag and reorder the destination within your trip.

You can also rearrange destinations by setting dates for each stop. To do this, either assign a date when adding the destination, or tap the three dots on the right-hand side, select Edit, choose a date from the calendar, and then tap Save. Destinations can be added to a trip at any time by selecting a POI and tapping Add to Trip.

When viewing the trip, select the vertical three dot menu beside the destination listing, then select “delete”.

In the top-left corner of the trip planning display, tap the left-pointing arrow next to the trip name to close the trip planning window. Alternatively, you can minimise the window by tapping the downward-facing arrow in the top-right corner of the display.

To add a new cost to a POI, tap the POI to open the details screen, then select the Add Cost Details tab. Tap the circle to the right of the relevant item, enter the dollar amount, and include any notes you feel are necessary. Once complete, select Submit. You will need to perform a data sync for the cost to appear on the POI. It can take up to 24 hours to show in the app..

To add a new photo to a POI, open the POI details screen. Tap the camera icon in the top right corner of the existing photo, or scroll down and select the Add Photo button.
You can choose to take a new photo or upload one from your photo library.
Once you’ve selected the image, tap Upload. After uploading, you’ll need to perform a data sync for the photo to appear on the POI. Please allow up to 24 hours for it to display in the app.

To add a new review to a POI, open the POI details screen and select the Reviews tab. Tap Rate and Review, choose a rating out of five stars, then select Next to add your comments about the location. Once finished, tap Submit.
After submitting, you’ll need to perform a data sync for the review to appear on the POI. Please allow up to 24 hours for it to display in the app.

Open the POI and select the Overview tab. Scroll down and tap Report POI. Enter the required changes, then select Submit. After submitting, you’ll need to perform a data sync for the updated information to appear on the POI. Please allow up to 24 hours for the changes to appear in the app.

Select Explore. In the Search here field, enter the POI name or physical address of your destination. When your destination appears in the list, select it and tap Directions. The available route options will display. To customise your route, tap the hamburger icon next to Routes to open Navigation Options. Toggle your preferred options on or off (grey = off, orange = on). Tap the back arrow in the top left, then select Go on your chosen route to begin turn-by-turn voice navigation.
