New Insurance Provider

We wish to advise that the following announcement was originally scheduled for yesterday, 1 April 2026, coinciding with the expiry of our agreement with KT Insurance at midnight on 31 March 2026. However, given the nature of April Fools' Day, we made the deliberate decision to delay communication to ensure that a matter of this significance was not misconstrued as anything other than the important announcement it is.

We sincerely apologise for any concern this may have caused, particularly for those members who received correspondence from KT Insurance prior to this communication. We trust you will understand the reasoning behind the brief delay.

Please be assured that the Board has carefully considered this matter and made its decision with the best interests of both the membership and the club firmly in mind.

A Message From The Board

Dear CMCA members,

We are writing to inform you of an important decision by the CMCA Board of Directors regarding the club’s exclusive insurance offering for members.

After careful consideration, the board has resolved unanimously to transition CMCA’s preferred insurance provision to a new arrangement that better supports members, strengthens the club’s long-term sustainability, and aligns with our strategic objectives. Our five-year agreement with KT Insurance has now concluded, and we sincerely thank them for their commitment and service to members over this period. Please note, existing policies will be honoured.

CMCA’s new preferred insurance provider is CMCA Insurance, administered by NM Insurance Pty Ltd and underwritten by Zurich Australian Insurance Limited.

This decision has been guided by several key considerations:

1. Supporting CMCA’s strategic growth
The new arrangement directly aligns with one of CMCA’s core goals: growing our membership. Our ability to attract new members and introduce them to the broader benefits of CMCA membership will be significantly enhanced including awareness of CMCA benefits to existing policyholders of NM Insurance’s insurance broker related  businesses, providing an enormous opportunity to grow our membership base.

2. Delivering tangible product and financial benefits
Under the new arrangement, members will enjoy highly competitive products and premiums, including a guarantee to beat any competitor’s written renewal quote by 5 per cent upon evidence of comparable terms and conditions. This ensures members have a clear opportunity for real savings. Members will continue to be encouraged to get a quote and compare Product Disclosure Statements and Target Market Determinations from CMCA Insurance, and the market.

3. Strengthening the CMCA brand
The insurance product will be branded as CMCA Insurance, reflecting the club’s values, community, and commitment to our members. This branding represents a deeper level of ownership, accountability, and alignment with CMCA.

4. Ensuring strong expertise and local support
CMCA Insurance will be administered by NM Insurance Pty Ltd and underwritten by Zurich, providing members with trusted industry expertise and financial security. Importantly, members will be supported directly through CMCA’s national office in Newcastle, ensuring service is delivered locally by people who understand the club and the RV lifestyle. Staff will be available during business hours to assist with your enquiries.

5. Enhancing the club’s independence
One of the most significant considerations for the board was the opportunity for CMCA to take greater control of this key member benefit. The new arrangement strengthens the club’s ability to protect its long-term interests and shape its future.

We also wish to acknowledge the contributions of our previous insurance partners: KT Insurance (under Envest and Lifestyle Insurance Group), Allianz, and Ken Tame & Associates, who served CMCA members for a combined 35 years.

Yours sincerely,
The CMCA Board of Directors
