With only 5 months until the 36th National Rally, I can advise that we are well on our way to securing what we believe will be a top week of entertainment and activities. One of the highlights will be the appearance of legendary performer Normie Rowe, who will take to the stage on the Wednesday night of the event.

The rally, which will be taking place in Dalby, Queensland from 8-14 October 2023, has already received 420 vehicle registrations (700 members). We have a lot more capacity (vehicles will be capped at 720 though) for those interested but have not registered. The list of seminars is extensive, and we are working hard to secure as many traders and exhibitors as we can. The Western Downs Regional Council and the Dalby business community have been very proactive in establishing various promotions and entertainment to coincide with our rally. Currently, 25% of registrations will be bring along a pet, so one Dalby business that jumped on board to attend is a local dog grooming business. This will be located on-site and extremely popular during the rally.

In coming months, we will be releasing information on tours that are being organised by the Western Downs Regional Council, with bookings expected to open from July. If you are thinking about attending and have not yet registered, this might be something you should consider as these tours are likely to book out in advance. It is planned to have the programme completed earlier this year and online sooner to give members plenty of time to plan their schedule.
