CEO Weekly Message

Today I can officially announce that CMCA RV Park Dalby, located in the Western Downs region of Queensland, is open for business.

This project was first discussed more than two and a half years ago during the Dalby National Rally. Since then, a significant amount of work has been undertaken behind the scenes before construction and development could even commence. This included securing Material Change of Use approval, finalising lease arrangements, lodging and obtaining Development Approval, and satisfying numerous consent conditions required prior to opening.

The park is ideally located within approximately 300 metres walking distance of the Dalby CBD, making it one of the closest RV Parks in our network to a town centre. While the site is subject to potential flooding, there is generally ample warning provided, and members are asked to follow any directions issued by the custodians should such an event occur.

I would like to acknowledge our Manager of Business & Development, Dan Shaw, for his outstanding work and dedication in bringing this project to completion. Over the past eight months, considerable effort has gone into addressing compliance requirements, additional reporting requests, and various operational challenges to achieve this outcome.

I would also like to sincerely thank Dave and Joyce Martain, our current custodians, who have been on site for more than four weeks preparing the park for opening. Your commitment and hard work are greatly appreciated.

In the coming weeks, we look forward to making further exciting announcements regarding additional parks joining our growing network.

As this week is National Volunteer Week, I would also like, on behalf of the club, to extend our sincere gratitude to the more than 800 volunteers who contribute to CMCA throughout the year. Your dedication, commitment, and willingness to assist in so many ways does not go unnoticed and is deeply valued.

Safe travelling,

Richard
