CEO Weekly Message

On Thursday 27 July, the annual Christmas in July Rally will commence at Davies Park, Mareeba, Qld. You cannot book for this event – simply turn up and the rally team will provide a spot for you to camp at the complex. Many activities have been arranged for the four days, including the annual Christmas dinner on the Saturday night. If you are in the region and would like to know more, contact Des or Maureen Lane on 0419 029 369 or Milly Virtue on 0428 386 301.

In other news, we would like to remind members about booking ahead for CMCA RV Parks. We have had the house “full” sign erected a number of times already this year, especially at CMCA RV Park Bundaberg, Qld and CMCA RV Park Humpty Doo, NT. At times, we also must restrict the number of sites at parks if the weather is inclement and the site becomes unusable with this particularly applicable to the parks located in Ingham and Innisfail, Qld. All CMCA RV Parks have capacities except for Charleville which is situated on 10 hectares. As many of our parks are leased from Local Government, the rules around capacity are set by those authorities.

The best way to book is via the CMCA Connect app or the website HERE, however, you can give the office a call on 02 4978 8788 during business hours and staff will assist. There are rules around staying at the parks and these must be abided by. Should you not be familiar with these, the custodian on-site can provide an information sheet. Buckets are not permitted as a means to capture grey water as per the Self Contained Vehicle Policy and members cannot wash vehicles on-site. Once again, I would like to acknowledge the support of the wonderful custodians who volunteer in this capacity, some at many locations throughout the year - your work and dedication towards the Club and fellow members is very much appreciated.

Safe travelling

Richard
