CEO Weekly Message

CMCA is often asked what contribution the Club makes towards the tourism industry apart from the general spend of the RV consumer. A quick analysis shows that over the past 16 years, CMCA has installed approximately 550 black water disposal (dump) points around Australia and KEA Motorhomes Australia has been a strong supporter of this through the years by contributing sponsorship. Some installations across NSW and Qld are also supported by their respective Governments. Generally, CMCA’s contribution is the supply of the unit and signage towards the project, which equates to an approximate cost of $2,000 per unit. When all is said and done, CMCA can be confident the Club has supported this development of infrastructure of around $1,000,000, which is a significant contribution for a not-for-profit organisation. CMCA cannot continue to develop networks such as dump point installations, RV Friendly Towns and RV Friendly Destinations, low-cost camps, and RV parks without the valued support of Local Government and alike. As well as dump point installations, there are currently 354 RV Friendly Towns, 131 RV Friendly Destinations and 13 CMCA RV Parks across the country. We can only increase numbers and improve these networks if you continue to support the towns and regions, they are situated in. Considering all the above, the contribution to the tourism industry from the Club is significant.

Safe travelling

Richard
