Nestled in the heart of Victoria’s Western District, Beeac is a charming rural town that offers visitors a relaxed country atmosphere and a warm community feel. With its quiet streets, historic character and open landscapes, it’s the kind of place where travellers can slow down and enjoy a taste of small-town Australia. Families and visitors can unwind at the Beeac Windmill Park and Playground, which features barbecue facilities and public toilets, making it an ideal stop for a picnic or break on the road. The town’s local hub, the Farmers Arms Hotel, serves delicious meals and refreshments from Wednesday to Sunday between 11am and 11pm.
RV travellers are well catered for in Beeac, with convenient parking available directly across the road from the pub. Travellers who stop in for a meal at the hotel are welcome to make use of one of the three large self-contained vehicle sites available, with the length of stay negotiable. Guests can also access the pub’s toilet facilities during their stay, and pets on leads are welcome, making it an easy and comfortable stop for those travelling with furry companions.
There’s plenty to see and do while visiting Beeac. The town’s well-known Beeac Windmill Park on Main Street showcases a collection of beautifully restored windmills that celebrate the area’s farming heritage, while a pavilion highlights the town’s history and evolution over the years. Nearby, Lake Beeac is a stunning 560-hectare shallow saline lake known for its striking milky-blue colour, offering a peaceful backdrop for photography and nature appreciation. Visitors can also stop by the Beeac General Store for coffee and treats or explore the Beeac Swamp Lake Reserve, where walking trails, birdwatching and tranquil natural surroundings provide the perfect opportunity to reconnect with the outdoors
