There has been a little discussion across social media about the quality of The Wanderer. I can advise members there has been absolutely no change to the paper quality or the size of the magazine. The publication is struggling with its revenue due to a decrease in advertising; however, the Board is committed to providing members with a quality magazine for all to enjoy - either in print or online. We are looking at key strategies in addressing the decline in advertising, striving to have this leading member benefit produced cost neutral.
The magazine is an asset, not just for current members but also for potential members and councils. We use it as a key marketing tool at consumer shows and conferences we attend. We also distribute the magazine to manufacturers and dealer networks, introducing CMCA to
the those who have recently purchased an RV. I know many members also leave old copies at doctor surgeries, dental practices, hairdressing salons and barbers, for others to read. I thank those members who do this as it promotes the Club.
The Wanderer is available in hard copy at the current cost of $2 per month (which covers the postage and handling from Australia Post) or digitally online and in our app for free. Members are always welcome to submit articles to the magazine, which can be done by emailing email@example.com.
