CEO Weekly Message

Preparation for the 35th National Rally at Bingara in October 16-23 is well on track, and I can confirm that this is an event you will not want to miss. Many of the activities have been finalised, and the programme is looking to be jam packed full of exciting seminars and workshops. It is not too late to register for the rally, which you can do online at https://members.cmca.net.au/Event/EventRegistration or by phoning NHQ staff on 02 4978 8788 during business hours. A solid team of volunteers has been established and will welcome you on your arrival. Several aspects of the rally that we highly encourage attendees to participate in include the Opening Ceremony (Sunday 16 October), the Club’s 22nd Annual General Meeting (Monday 17 October), the Members Forum (Tuesday 18 October), the Rally Ball (Friday 21 October) and Open Day (Saturday 22 October), which will uniquely take place off-site in the streets of Bingara. There will plenty of evening entertainment for attendees to enjoy, as well as great workshops, seminars, and other interesting activities.

While I’m on the topic of national rallies, the Board of Directors hasendorsed our 36th National Rally to be held at Dalby, Qld (west of Brisbane). The venue will be the Dalby Showgrounds. A presentation from the Mayor and Executive of Western Downs Regional Council will be held at the upcoming 35th National Rally on Thursday 20 October at 7pm.

We also have a number of other events coming up, including the Christmas in July rally at Mareeba, Qld.   This event will commence next Thursday 21 July 2022. If you are in the area, call in and register for a fun-filled five days of fun and laughter. For further information, contact Des Lane on 0419 02 9369. Also coming up is the Solos Network Rally at Leeman, WA from 29 August – 4 September 2022. The rally theme is 'All Things Nautical'. The town of Leeman is on the Coral Coast of WA, 261 km north of Perth and 152 km south of Geraldton and, since it will be Spring, the West should be alive with wildflowers. This is an unpowered rally, however, power for charging phones and devices will be available inside the complex. For further details, contact Rally Manager Margaret Cook on 0490 443 515.

Safe travelling,

Richard
