Tropical Coast Wanderers

CMCA's Tropical Coast Wanderers in Townsville are very supportive of local charity and this year donated money from the 2018 Dam Fine Rally to Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia. The Rally committee was invited to the house for a 'Thank you' morning tea and tour of the house.

CMCA and chapter member Jeanette Mann said the committee was amazed at what the families have to help them through their difficult times.

"Tropical Coast Wanderers members also donated items at our 2018 Christmas party to make up five hampers to present to Ronald McDonald House to assist families through the Christmas season.

"Thank you to our members for the support they have and continue to give. A chair was donated by a chapter member and raffled at the Christmas party, and we raised $155 from the chair, which we donated to the organisation. This money will pay for 1 nights accommodation for a family to stay in the house" said Jeanette.

Amy Cooper, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia said "As a charity, we rely 100 percent on the support of the local community.

"It's so wonderful when community groups such as the Tropical Coast Wanderers support our sick kids by providing much-needed funds to provide accommodation and care or essential items that families may need when they face a medical emergency, and we are so grateful to their entire group for their generosity and support".
