CEO Weekly Message

On behalf of the Board, I have exciting news to share with CMCA members. After eight months of confidential negotiations and thorough consideration, the Board of the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia Limited (CMCA) officially resolved to support the sale of Ken Tame and Associates Pty Ltd (KTA) from Allianz Australia Pty Ltd to Envest Group as at 31 March 2021.

CMCA’s Board of Directors and Management undertook extensive due diligence and sought appropriate legal advice before supporting the sale and firmly believe that this move is in the best interest of all CMCA members and the Company moving into the future. What this means, is that the new owner can direct KTA to offer more applicable products and options to service our members. The Chairman and CEO have been appointed to an advisory and marketing committee to assist, more efficiently, in the development of new products - which is a positive step. The Board and Management are determined to lift this member benefit to the level it was prior to the first sale in 2015. Ken Tame himself, was supportive of the sale, and will be assisting the Club moving forward. It is envisaged that members will, in coming months, see a more competitive product that suits the needs of the travelling consumer. Passenger vehicles should once again be offered as part of this change.

We would like to remind members that this change in ownership will not affect the Roadside Assistance package, as this service agreement is strictly between CMCA and Allianz Worldwide Partners.

Safe travelling

Richard
