Have you ever wanted to explore Tasmania's wild and rugged West Coast, cruise along the stunning Gordon River or visit the serene Lake St Clair? Join our experienced travel guides as you explore Australia's most southern state and visit the likes of Hobart and Port Arthur. With what starts as a night sail from Melbourne, this adventure gives you the opportunity to explore much of the state's beautiful countryside and a number of historic towns including Ross, where you'll get to pay a trip to the Tasmanian Wool Centre and Ross Bridge. Heading back up along the East Coast, Coles Bay and St Helens are two destinations that will not disappoint, with a boat cruise on the magnificent Bay of Fire. From here you will continue north towards Launceston, cruising on the Tamar River along the way, ending the trip back in Devonport where you'll journey back to the mainland.

Draft Itinerary - subject to change

13 Feb- Meet somewhere near Melbourne (to be confirmed) between 2pm and 4pm. Happy hour and meet and greet will commence at 4pm, followed by a dinner together (happy hour and dinner provided, drinks not included)

14 Feb- Board the Spirit of Tasmania (all boat fees, cabin accommodation and smorgasbord dinner included, drinks not included)

15 Feb- Arrive in Devonport and head to Stanley where we will stay for 2 nights (power, showers, toilets)

16 Feb- Explore Stanley and The Nut, enjoy the spectacular view of The Nut and the historic village of Stanley on a chairlift ride (ride included)

17 Feb- Depart for Waratah where we will stay for the night (unpowered, no facilities)                                          

18 Feb- Travel to beautiful Strahan where we will stay for 2 nights (no facilities)

19 Feb- Hop aboard for a day cruise of the spectacular Gordon River and enjoy a buffet lunch (cruise and lunch included)

20 Feb- Leave for Queenstown where we will stay for 2 nights (power, showers toilet)

21 Feb- Enjoy a half day trip on a majestic steam train and journey into spectacular Tasmanian wilderness to Double Barrill and King River Gorge (tour included)

22 Feb- We head off to Lake St Clair for a leisurely stroll or to simply relax and enjoy the view (place tbc) (unpowered accommodation)

23 Feb- Travel to New Norfolk where we will stay for 2 nights (power, showers toilets)

24 Feb- Enjoy a coach tour to Russell Falls and see the spectacular sight of the cascade of falls. Visit the the Salmon Pond, the oldest trout hatchery in the Southern Hemisphere. Some free time in the afternoon to explore New Norfolk.

25 Feb- We head south to Geeveston and stay at Tahune Airwalk for 2 nights where we will enjoy the airwalk and beautiful scenery (to be confirmed at a later date, alternate may be chosen)

26 Feb- Free time to explore

27 Feb- We head to Snug Beach stopping at Hartzview along the way where you can have a look at the pickers' huts and maybe indulge in some wine tasting or lunch at the winery (power, showers, toilets)

28 Feb- Head to Hobart for 2 nights with free time to explore the surrounding area (accommodation tbc)

29 Feb- Free time in Hobart to explore

1 Mar- Head to Port Arthur, staying there for 2 nights (power, showers, toilets)

 2 Mar- Spend a day at Port Arthur Historic Site (lunch and entry included)

3 Mar- Travel to historic Ross where we will stay for a night (powered/unpowered showers, toilets). Explore Ross and the historic bridge, and visit the Tasmanian Wool Museum or relax

4 Mar- Travel to Coles Bay and stay for 2 nights (power, showers, toilet).

 5 Mar- Free time to explore Coles Bay or relax

6 Mar- Travel to St Helens, staying for 2 nights (power, showers, toilets)

7 Mar- Enjoy a cruise on the Bay of Fire, exploring the beautiful coastline (cruise included) 

8 Mar- Travel to Launceston, staying there for 2 nights (power, showers, toilets)

9 Mar- Enjoy a 4 hour river cruise on the Tamar River, travelling 48km up the river and visit Cataract Gorge, Batman Bridge (includes morning tea, light lunch and wine tasting, drinks not included). We will have our final dinner together with a BBQ dinner (dinner included, drinks not included)

10 Mar- Travel to Devonport and board the Spirit of Tasmania (boat fees, cabin accommodation and smorgasbord dinner included, drinks not included)

11 Mar- We land in Melbourne and farewell our new friends and continue our independent travels

Price is inclusive of Spirit of Tasmania return tickets, 2 dinners on board and cabin accommodation (night sail)

Price quoted is for 7-8 metre motorhomes (please contact for different length or RV type)

We recommend purchasing travel insurance
