Safaris - 3 Regions winery safari
If you enjoy your wine or love to explore Australia’s famous vineyards, then this tour is for you. We travel from the beautiful Stanthorpe region southwards to the gorgeous Hunter Valley, where we are able to indulge in our love of travel, cuisine and wine, in a relaxed, safe, guided setting. We start at Ballandean Estate which includes wine tasting at the cellar door, where you can purchase some wine for happy hour as we travel south. During our travels, we will also stay at Cranky Rock Reserve, Inland Waters Holiday Parks Lake Keepit, Mudgee Showgrounds and finally the beautiful Nightingale Winery in the Hunter Valley. Of course, we will be indulging our palates with culinary delights and wine tastings as we travel through the regions. Each day, we allow early stops for rest and relaxation including happy hours.

We gather at the beautiful Ballandean Estate Winery for the start of our safari between the hours of 1pm-3pm. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon and evening with our first wine tasting. We also get to share our first dinner together as a group (2 course meal provided) at Ballandean Estate and get to know each other. Unpowered sites available only. Please arrive with water tanks full and sewage tanks empty.
A luxury coach will collect you from Ballandean Estate in the morning and you can sit back and relax while touring the Stanthorpe winery region for a half day tour. We will be visiting wineries such as Symphony Hill and Twisted Gum Wines. After indulging in some wine tastings, we will arrive back at Ballandean Estate in time for lunch where you can sit back and relax for the afternoon and enjoy some free time. Maybe have a game of boules?
This morning after our journey briefing, we will depart the beautiful Stanthorpe region and enjoy a scenic drive to our overnight destination – Cranky Rock Reserve. At Cranky Rock Reserve, you can enjoy bush walking, take a dip in the cooling rock pool or just kick back and relax. We will be providing chips, dips, crackers and cheese for happy hour. Powered sites available here, water, toilets, showers. Travel approx. 250km’s.
Today, we make our way to the beautiful Lake Keepit. Lake Keepit is known for its beautiful ambience and sunsets over the lake. We will be camping on the banks of the lake at Inland Waters Holiday Parks Lake Keepit. Powered sites available with water, toilets, showers, laundry, dump point available. Travel approx. 188km’s.
Today, we are leaving Lake Keepit and making our way south to the beautiful Mudgee Winery region. We will be staying at Mudgee Showgrounds this evening. After our arrival, we will have time to relax before happy hour begins. Powered sites and dump point available. Travel approx. 275km’s.
This morning, a luxury coach will collect you and take you on a day tour of the Mudgee Winery region. During the tour, you will enjoy wine tastings and a light lunch at a winery (provided). We end the day relaxing at happy hour as we chat about the day tour highlights.
We leave in the morning to head to our final destination, the gorgeous Hunter Valley. We will be staying at the beautiful Nightingale Winery, where in the afternoon, we will be indulging in wine tasting (Tip: try the Verdelho wine...delicious!) and enjoy a delicious two course dinner at the winery restaurant. Travel approx. 241km’s.
This morning, a luxury coach will collect you for a full day tour to various wineries in the region including First Creek Wines, McGuigan Wines, Pokolbin Estate, The Smelly Cheese Shop and more. You will enjoy a light lunch at a winery on the way (meal included) and arrive back at Nightingale Winery in time for happy hour.
Today is a free day to rest and relax and enjoy each other’s company at Nightingale Winery. Tonight, we will indulge in a farewell dinner together (2 course meal provided).
Today is our final day and we farewell our new found friends and leave the Hunter Valley for our independent travels. Safe travelling!
